Founder- Community & Creative Director
As Community & Creative Director for Down With The Clique I connect The Clique to the community and the community to The Clique through our branding, marketing, and community partnerships.
As an experienced Marketing and Event Professional, I have found that I have a natural joy for event planning and curation. My love for food & dining prompted the original idea to start a dinner party series that eventually developed into Down With The Clique. I live and breathe fashion and decor and DWTC provides me with a physical outlet to see my dream events come to life. The little details are my fortė.
Founder- Director of
Beverage and Experience
I am an events and experience curator with the love for helping entrepreneurs and small businesses win. As a Cincinnati native who spent most of my adult life in other cities, building community has always been really important to me. Creating a safe space and a sense of “home” everywhere I go is what keeps me going. Now that I’ve returned back to my hometown and am working in the startup world, I’ve been inspired to turn my combined passions of community building, mixology and event curation into an actual business. Right now I’d say I am where season 4 Issa Dee meets all 8 season of Joan Clayton. In season 4 of Insecure, Issa Dee started stepping into her own. Taking her interests and passions seriously and actually doing something with those ideas. I’ve often felt stuck not knowing what to do with all of my interests. Now, entering my 30s, I feel I am finally stepping into who I am and knowing how I want to express myself.
Founder- Culinary Curator
As the culinary curator for Down With the Clique, my main goal is to create innovative menus and dishes that bring people together and create a joyful atmosphere. I was raised in a family that could have coined the term, “Sunday Funday”! We would all gather over at my great grandmother’s house on a Sunday morning and wouldn’t leave until late in the night. Over the course of that day, we would have eaten breakfast, a midday snack, lunch, dinner, AND a night cap dessert.
I often found myself in the kitchen whether it was by my own curiosity or an elder wanting assistance. My passion for cooking came from helping, watching, and learning alongside my great grandmother, grandmother, and mother. In my adulthood, I have been able to use the core knowledge of cooking I gained from my family and fuse it with new flavors and experiences I gain through my travels.
I hope that while eating the dishes I create, cherished memories are triggered, or you feel as though you have been transported to a place in time by the flavor profiles. That is the ultimate experience I wish to create for those who taste my food.
